Three typewritten versions of Wittgenstein's book Philosophische Untersuchungen, with editors' notes: the early version of 1937-1938; the "middle version," 1945; and the final version, 1945-1946. With these are a foreword by editors Georg Henrik von Wright and Heikki Nyman, dated 1979, and recent correspondence between Von Wright and Cornell University Library concerning the manuscript and copyright issues. Also included is a pamphlet, A Wittgenstein Primer, compiled and edited from Wittgenstein's later works by T. Lowes (Cork City, Ireland: printed by Coleman's Printers Ltd., 1984).
